XIII International Gathering of the Teams of Our Lady in Turin: A Celebration of Conjugal Spirituality

XIII Raduno Internazionale delle Equipes Notre Dame a Torino: Una Celebrazione della Spiritualità Coniugale

From July 15 to 20, 2024, Turin hosted the XIII International Gathering of the Teams of Our Lady (END), a lay and Catholic movement of marital spirituality. With over 7,600 participants from 86 countries, the event transformed the city into a global meeting point for married couples and spiritual assistants, eager to strengthen their journey of faith and fully experience the sacrament of marriage.

A Meeting of Faith and Sharing

The inaugural ceremony was held on July 15 at the Arena Inalpi, with speeches by key figures of the movement and religious and civil authorities. The celebration was enriched by music, flag-wavers and a parade of the flags of the countries present, a symbol of unity in diversity.

Monsignor Roberto Repole, Archbishop of Turin, highlighted the importance of Christian life for couples, describing marriage as a journey of faith that unites people not only with each other, but also with God.

A Program Rich in Spirituality

The central theme, “Let us go with ardent hearts,” taken from the episode of the disciples of Emmaus, guided the entire week of reflections and Eucharistic celebrations. Each day was punctuated by moments of meditation, conferences and meetings, offering couples the opportunity to renew their spiritual commitment.

An International Event of Unity

With representatives from countries across five continents, the gathering was an opportunity for cultural exchange and universal fellowship. Major nations included Brazil, France, Spain, Italy, and Colombia, but delegations from as far away as New Zealand and Botswana also attended.

Connection with the Holy Shroud of Turin

The gathering created a strong connection with the city of Turin, known for housing the Holy Shroud. During the event, numerous pilgrims visited the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, showing great interest in the handcrafted religious items related to the Holy Shroud and the Holy Face.

The Shroud Workshop , located inside the Cathedral, has received particular attention for its reproductions on fabric, rosaries, crucifixes and medallions, all linked to devotion to the Shroud.
